Paid parking (about $8) might possibly be available at the Ronald
Reagan Building/International Trade Center on 14th St NW between
Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues--this is just over a half mile (.5)
from Lafayette Park. Walk north on 14th, turn left on Pennsylvania, turn
right onto 15th and then left into the pedestrian plaza in front of the
White House.

- Union Station services the red line.
From Union Station, walk south down either Delaware or Louisiana Avenues
toward the Capitol. Turn right onto Constitution Avenue and turn left
onto 3rd Street NW; the Capitol Reflecting Pool will be ahead on your
left. This is about seven-tenths (.7) mile.
- A fourth Metro station is the Capitol South
station (blue and orange lines), at D Street SE between 1st and 2nd
Streets SE. From the station walk north on 1st Street NE toward
the Capitol; turn left onto Independence Avenue and then turn right onto
3rd Street SW. The Capitol Reflecting Pool will be ahead on your right.
This is about eight-tenths (.8) mile.
Parking
Parking on and around Capitol Hill is tight. It is mostly street parking,
with some garages and surface lots. Possible locations are at Union Station
and along any streets to the east and south of the Capitol. There are some
lots close by the Capitol and Reflecting Pool, but read signs carefully as some restrictions may
apply within the security perimeter around the federal buildings; other
street parking may be according to residency status/stickers in some neighborhoods.

(Orange & Blue lines), on the corner of 23rd and I Streets NW, is located
due north of the Memorial, about .8 (eight-tenths) miles away. This is the
closest stop to the Lincoln Memorial. Another station is Smithsonian (Orange

Parking
Parking is all street parking. Possible locations are along: Ohio Drive
between the Potomac River and the Tidal Basin and FDR Memorial Park;
Constitution Avenue; Virginia Avenue; and various side streets north and
